No. There are several hotels located within 4-10 miles of the venue. We are happy to assist with recommending nearby hotels.

Yes. The Maine of Williamsburg provides day of event staff to work closely with your wedding or event  planner/ coordinator and vendors. Our goal is to assist in delivering a seamless experience for all involved.

With prior approval, dogs are welcome to take part in wedding ceremonies and photos.

Yes.

Yes. Guests may leave their vehicles parked overnight as long as it is communicated with a member of The Maine of Williamsburg team prior to the end of the event. The gates to the venue are locked overnight and vehicles are left at the owners’ risk. Vehicles must be retrieved between 9am-11am the next morning.

Yes. We have two covered porches and indoor spaces to accommodate guests during inclement weather. Inclement weather such as snow will be cleared from parking lots, sidewalks, etc. to assist with the continuation of the scheduled event. We ask to receive a Plan A and Plan B event layout 30 days prior to your event.

10pm. Vendors and designated persons have up to one hour following the end of the event to pack up all items brought to the venue that day.

We love seeing the outdoor final departure photos! While we do not allow wish lanterns, fireworks, handheld sparklers, cold sparklers, confetti, birdseed, or rice, we happily permit bubbles, streamers, glow sticks, or light colored real flower petals. Sparklers and cold sparklers are not allowed. If you are unsure if your desired send off is permitted, please reach out to us. We are happy to discuss your send off ideas.

Yes. We have two wedding party dressing suites: The Lake Lure Suite and The Corolla Suite. Each suite is equipped with the following: mini refrigerator, grooming/ make-up bar, USB charging outlets, comfortable furnishings, two full length mirrors, large private  restroom, open closet, natural and overhead lighting.

The Corolla Suite has a private covered patio. The Lake Lure Suite has a large TV with cable and a shuffleboard table.

*Wedding dressing suites are available for getting ready and up until the reception. The suites remain locked for the duration of the event, and are unlocked to collect any personal belongings at the end of the event.

No. We are happy to recommend local vendors who offer the rental of linens, dishes, and other items you may desire for your event.

Yes, real candles are allowed as long as they are placed in a container that catches any wax, and is taller than the flame (i.e. candle hurricanes).
Candles may not be placed on the floor.

Yes. We have an approved vendor list with recommendations of vendors of all trades; including DJs, caterers, bartenders, wedding planners, florists, hairstylists, makeup artists, and more.

To become an approved vendor at The Maine of Williamsburg, we require to receive several business documents, depending on the service they provide. If you are interested in working with a vendor not currently on our approved vendor list, please contact us for more information regarding our vendor approval process.

No. We have a warming kitchen onsite to accommodate approved caterers. Caterers must be approved by The Maine of Williamsburg to provide catering services.

An ABC Banquet License is required for alcohol to be served and all alcoholic beverages must be served by a designated and approved bartender. Last call must be 30 minutes prior to the end of your event.

*No shots are allowed at The Maine of Williamsburg.

Yes. 7 days prior to your event, a $1,000 damage security deposit is due via credit card hold (released within 3 days if no damages are incurred). You will receive an email within one week of your wedding or event date from our team to schedule a time to capture this deposit information.

Yes. Liability insurance is required and is easily obtained at minimal cost from providers such as Eventsured, Markel, Travelers, Wedsafe, Event Helper, Wedsure, and eWed. Your insurance certificate is due 30 days prior to your event. $1 million in general lability coverage is required. If alcohol will be serve, hot liquor liability is required as well.

Yes. A professional wedding planner or coordinator is required. We offer wedding coordination services. Please inquire for more information regarding our wedding coordination services.

We have several wedding planners and coordinators included on our approved vendor list. You may work with someone not on our list once they are approved by The Maine of Williamsburg staff.
